Sometimes, Third Time’s the Charm

Meet Roxxi Bohn, entrepreneur and founder of Bohn Financial Group, a company that provides bookkeeping and financial services.

Roxxi is a ray of sunshine and has such a fun and bubbly personality!

Unfortunately, the photos she had of herself didn't quite capture that essence. She had a selfie on LinkedIn, but she had been told the photo made her look "too young" for potential clients. (Translation: She lacked maturity and business experience.)

That’s when she decided to get a professional photo taken.

Last summer, she hired a professional photographer to capture some moments with her fiancé in Joshua Tree National Park. Roxxi hoped to find the perfect photo from that session to use as her profile pic. But when she got the photos back, she cried! She hated all the photos! The posing, lens choices, and angles were all off, and worst of all, she thought they made her look fat!

She was desperate and ended up using the least awful photo as a profile pic, but she was determined to get another professional photo session done. That's when she reached out to me.

We set up a design consultation to talk about her vision for the shoot and to discuss a range of looks and styles we could explore. I had her fill out a detailed branding questionnaire, so I could get a better grasp of her business and figure out how we could use her images to elevate her personal brand and personality. She wanted a mix of business images and some personal images that truly showcased her quirky and vibrant personality. Oh, and since she loves light pink (which are her brand’s colors), we decided to incorporate the color into some of the images to exude a more welcoming vibe.

The photo shoot was lots of fun and flew by! And the best part? Roxxi finally loved her pictures! Seeing her happy made me happy too! I guess it’s like they say…third time's the charm, right?
